Winter has hit Minnesota this week with a blast of cold weather meaning it’s a good time to stay indoors and watch movies.
Members of the MNFCA have been doing just that, and reviewing movies as well. From the action flick “Violent Night” to the drama “Empire of Light,” Minnesota critics have been keeping busy with new releases, and older films, too.

The Thanksgiving holiday has come and gone and with it the month of November.
It was a period of Oscar contenders getting screened and blockbusters hitting theaters. MNFCA members were all over those recent films and more.

Several critics concluded special Halloween series and reviewed recently released horror pictures. Many also reviewed films likely to earn recognition during award season, with several screened at the Twin Cities Film Festival.

Halloween time is in full swing and award season is right around the corner.
Both periods are well reflected by work the MNFCA has been doing. A plethora of horror movies have been reviewed, as have award contenders such as “Tár.”
