The Alliance Lately: Issue No. 53

There’s been a whirlwind of new releases lately, with existing franchises and original films in the mix.

The last few weeks have had the release of “Secrets of Dumbledore” from the Wizarding World series and a film about a fictional Nicolas Cage. Those movies and much more have been reviewed by MNFCA members.

The Alliance Lately: Issue No. 52

Multiple universes is something becoming more common in movies.

This was evident in some of the films the MNFCA reviewed recently, from the Marvel comics inspired “Morbius” to the original feature “Everything Everywhere All At Once.” Those two and many others were analyzed recently by Minnesota critics.

The Alliance Lately: Issue No. 51

Award season came to a close Sunday night with the Oscars ceremony.

The Alliance Lately: Issue No. 50

In addition to announcing the winners of the MNFCA awards, Minnesota critics were also busy the last two weeks reviewing plenty of new releases.

The Alliance Lately: Issue No. 49

A mix of movies from various genres are in cinemas and on streaming platforms right now.

The romantic musical “Cyrano,” the adventure film “Uncharted,” the horror sequel “Texas Chainsaw Massacre” and the superhero picture “The Batman.” All of those movies and much more were reviewed and discussed by MNFCA members.

The Alliance Lately: Issue No. 48

New releases from several genres have kept MNFCA members busy recently. Reviews have been published on films from the romcom “Marry Me” to the disaster epic “Moonfall.”
