A mix of movies from various genres are in cinemas and on streaming platforms right now.
The romantic musical “Cyrano,” the adventure film “Uncharted,” the horror sequel “Texas Chainsaw Massacre” and the superhero picture “The Batman.” All of those movies and much more were reviewed and discussed by MNFCA members.

Sean Blanford
On his site, Blanford reviewed the new “Texas Chainsaw Massacre” sequel.
Joe Botten
At his site, Botten reviewed new releases “King Knight,” “A Banquet,” “The Cursed,” “Dog,” “The Burning Sea,” “Butter,” “Cyrano,” “No Exit,” “Studio 666” and “The Batman.”
Brian Eggert
On Deep Focus Review, Eggert reviewed new releases “Texas Chainsaw Massacre,” “See for Me” and “The Batman.” He also wrote about 2021 films “John and the Hole,” “Bo Burnham: Inside” and “The Souvenir Part II.”
Additionally, He published pieces on 2002’s “Spider” and 1972’s “The Godfather.”
Kelly Florence and Meg Hafdahl
On the Horror Rewind podcast, Florence and Hafdahl discussed the Oscar-nominated film “Nightmare Alley.”
Hunter Friesen
For the Northern Iowan, Friesen reviewed “Uncharted” and “Cyrano.” He also hosted a trivia match on the League of Cinephiles YouTube channel.
Kyle Goethe
For the series Kyle and Nick on Film, Goethe was joined by fellow MNFCA member Nicholas Palodichuk to review 1962’s “The Man who Shot Liberty Valance,” 1967’s “The Story of a Three-Day Pass,” 1977’s “Eraserhead,” 1980’s “Prom Night” and 1995’s “Seven.”
Paul McGuire Grimes
For his series Paul’s trip to the movies, Grimes reviewed new films “Dog,” “Studio 666,” “Cyrano,” “Texas Chainsaw Massacre” and “The Batman.”
He also appeared on the Feb. 18 and 25 episodes of Twin Cities Live.
Eric Houston
For North Metro TV, Houston continued his King of the Cowboys video essay series, this time with a focus on western star Randolph Scott. He also released a new episode of the series Bad Movie Bros, this entry about 1984’s “Bad Manners.”
Frank Lee
At the Brainerd Dispatch, Lee wrote about new releases “Dog” and “Uncharted.”
Matthew Liedke
At his site, Liedke reviewed “Death on the Nile,” “Blacklight,” “Cyrano,” “The Worst Person in the World,” “Texas Chainsaw Massacre,” “Uncharted” and “Dog.”
Ruth Maramis
On FlixChatter, Maramis reviewed “Uncharted,” “Spencer,” “Cyrano” and “The French Dispatch.” She also wrote about her 22 favorite cinematic duos on Feb. 22, 2022.
Mark McPherson
At his site, McPherson reviewed “Death on the Nile,” “Uncharted” and “The Batman.” He also reviewed “Studio 666” for Film Inquiry and produced a video essay about disaster films “Don’t Look Up” and “Moonfall.”
Nicholas Palodichuk
On the St. Paul Filmcast, Palodichuk spoke with composer Charlie McCarron and artist Mia Francesca, who goes by Baby Skullcrusher.
Frank Stanko
On The Pop Culturists, Stanko continued his look through 1998 films with reviews on “U.S. Marshals,” “Hush” and “Dark City.” He also wrote a piece on the Oscars presentation plans for the Wahpeton Daily News.
