The Alliance Lately: Issue No. 4

Another week has come and gone with the Alliance staying busy. From the new film “American Pickle” to 80s flicks, Minnesotans had a lot to say about movies.

Here’s what the Alliance has been up to lately.

Kelly Florence and Meg Hafdahl

On the Horror Rewind podcast, Florence and Hafdahl talked about 1989’s “Dead Calm” and the series “Books of Blood” by Clive Barker.

Joseph Froemming

On The Joe Down, Froemming looked back at the 2014 picture “Foxcatcher.”

Paul McGuire Grimes

This past week Grimes looked back at the “Scream” series, chatted about media on Twin Cities Live and reviewed the film “Black is King.”

Jeremy Lebens

At The Daily Rotation, Lebens reviewed the comedy “An American Pickle” and the drama “The Tax Collector.”

Matthew Liedke

On his site, Liedke reviewed the indie film “I Used to Go Here” and the comedy “An American Pickle.

Ruth Maramis

At FlixChatter, Maramis reviewed the movie “The Lost City of Z.”

Mark McPherson

On both his own site and at Twin Cities Geek, McPherson wrote about the documentary “Rebuilding Paradise.” McPherson also reviewed “Radioactive” and “Bacurau.”

Nicholas Palodichuk

On the St. Paul Filmcast, Palodichuk spokewith make-up artist and special effects expert Alieta Cottwell.

Frank Stanko

At The Pop Culturists, Stanko wrote about the 1985 film “Pee Wee’s Big Adventure.”
